Detailed Steps for Cooking Penguin Platter in the Snow
When the cooked rice is lukewarm, add some sushi vinegar and sugar like making sushi, or leave it plain. Wear disposable plastic gloves and knead the rice into two long oval shapes, one large and one small.
Determine the size of the nori for the penguin’s body based on the size of the rice balls. Fold the nori in half and cut it into the shape on the left in the picture. After cutting, open it up to get the shape on the right.
Place the cut nori on top of the rice ball and pinch it together to form the penguin’s body.
Cut the remaining nori into two pieces of the same size, spread a thin layer of rice on top of one piece, and cover it with the other piece. Then roll it out with a rolling pin to make a thinner sushi cake.
Cut the sushi cake into the shape of the penguin’s wings and use the nori to cut out four small circles for the eyes and two triangles for the nose.
Attach the cut wings, eyes, and nose to the penguin’s body.
Arrange the pre-made meatballs and stir-fried fava beans on the plate.
Slice the carrot and, if you don’t like it raw, blanch it in boiling water and then remove the water and wipe it dry. Use the nori to cut out the branches of the tree and place them in the appropriate position on the plate. Sprinkle some breadcrumbs, white sesame seeds, or rice grains on the background to create a snowy scene.
Slice the pear and carve it into a distant snow pine tree. Use the Qubi salad dressing to draw the horizon behind the snow pine tree and the horizon where the carrot is located. The platter is now complete.
