Detailed Steps for Making Pikachu Sweet Buns
Prepare the ingredients. The sweet filling here has a strong egg yolk aroma, and the California raisins provide a natural sweetness that can replace sugar.
Knead the flour, milk, and yeast into a dough, divide into 40g portions. Take 10g for white dough, and knead the rest with bamboo charcoal powder and strawberry powder to form a dough. Add pumpkin powder to the large dough to create a yellow dough.
Divide the kneaded yellow dough into 6 equal parts, each about 50g.
Add raisins to the sweet filling, divide into 6 equal parts, each about 15g.
Take a portion of the yellow dough, divide 4g from it to make Pikachu’s ears, then wrap the sweet filling in the larger portion.
Seal the dough and shape it into a round bun on parchment paper.
Divide the 4g pumpkin dough in half, roll them into long pieces and place them under the head to create the ears.
Shape the small dough portions into ear tips, eyes, and cheeks in three different colors.
Let them ferment in warm water for 15 minutes.
Steam over high heat for 15 minutes, then let sit for 5 minutes before serving.
Your large-faced Pikachu buns are ready! Aren’t they cute?
