Detailed Steps for Making Pork Floss Cake Roll
Combine egg yolks with oil, milk, and sugar until well mixed.
Sift in flour and mix until smooth.
In a clean, dry, and oil-free container, beat egg whites with sugar and vinegar until stiff peaks form.
Fold in 1/3 of the egg white mixture into the egg yolk mixture until well combined.
Then fold in the remaining 2/3 of the egg white mixture until well combined.
Pour the batter into a greased and lined baking pan, smooth the top, tap lightly to remove large air bubbles. (My pan is 37cm*28cm.)
Bake in a preheated oven at 350F/180C for 20 minutes, then invert onto a wire rack, peel off the parchment paper while still warm, and let cool. (Cover the cake with the parchment paper to prevent it from drying out.)
Invert the cake back onto the parchment paper.
Spread mayonnaise (egg yolk sauce) on top and sprinkle with pork floss.
Roll up the cake, seal the edges, refrigerate for 15-20 minutes to set, then slice and serve.
The cake is soft, with a sweet and savory flavor, a great combination.
