Steps for Cooking Pumpkin and Bird’s Nest Congee
Cut the pumpkin into small pieces and soak the millet for an hour. Steam them with rock sugar for 30 minutes, then mash them into a paste and set aside.
Cut off the top of the baby pumpkin, remove the seeds and carve it into a decorative shape. Steam it with the pumpkin for 30 minutes.
Remove the baby pumpkin and pour the pumpkin and millet paste into the baby pumpkin shell.
Place the stewed bird’s nest on top of the pumpkin and garnish with soaked goji berries. Enjoy!
