Detailed Steps for Making Pumpkin Steamed Cake
Wash and cut the pumpkin, steam until cooked.
Peel the cooked pumpkin and mash it into a puree.
Stir two spoonfuls of sugar into the pumpkin puree.
When the pumpkin has cooled down and is not hot to the touch, add yeast and mix well.
Add an appropriate amount of flour. Since the cooked pumpkin has a lot of moisture, no additional water is needed.
Continue to stir until the mixture is smooth without lumps or grains.
Take a container, brush a thin layer of oil. I used a 6-inch chiffon cake pan.
Pour the pumpkin batter into the container and smooth it out.
Prepare some dried fruits and wash them clean.
Arrange the dried fruits on the surface of the pumpkin batter. I used a pack of mixed nuts, so there are plenty of toppings.
Once everything is ready, place it in a steamer, cover with a lid, and let it ferment. When the dough rises to 7-8 tenths full, steam over cold water for 30 minutes and let it simmer for 5 minutes.
Once the time is up, take it out, let it cool, and then cut it into pieces.
