Step-by-Step Cooking Instructions for Purple Sweet Potato and Tremella Soup
Prepare the ingredients, soak the Tremella in water for half an hour beforehand
Soak the lotus seeds in water and remove the core after they are softened
Peel and cut the purple sweet potato into small pieces
After soaking, tear the Tremella into small pieces, add enough water, and cook in an electric stew pot for one hour; if using a regular pot, bring to a boil and simmer for one hour
After one hour, add purple sweet potato, lotus seeds, and red dates (pitted) and continue cooking for half an hour
In a separate pot, boil water, add sago, cook for a few minutes, then turn off the heat and let it sit covered for half an hour until the sago turns transparent; if there are white spots after half an hour, bring to a boil again, then turn off the heat and let it sit for a while
Rinse the cooked sago several times and soak it in cold water
