Steps to make Purple Sweet Potato, Peach Gum, and Bird’s Nest Soup
Ingredients: 1 purple sweet potato, 8g peach gum, 8g bird’s nest, 2g snow swallow, sugar, water.
Soak the peach gum, bird’s nest, and snow swallow in water overnight.
Wait until the peach gum, bird’s nest, and snow swallow have fully absorbed the water.
Remove any impurities from the peach gum and snow swallow, and rinse them with water.
Put an appropriate amount of water in a pot, add the peach gum and bird’s nest, and boil over high heat. Then, reduce the heat to medium-low and continue to cook for about 30 minutes.
While cooking the peach gum and bird’s nest, wash and peel the purple sweet potato and cut it into coarse grains.
After the peach gum and bird’s nest are cooked, add the snow swallow, purple sweet potato, and sugar, and continue to cook for 15 minutes.
When the purple sweet potato is soft and cooked, turn off the heat.
Serve hot or cold.
