Steps to Make Qi and Blood Nourishing Tea
Put the herbs into the teapot according to the recipe, rinse with cold water first, then pour in boiling water, let it steep for about 10 minutes before drinking. It can be steeped multiple times. I start steeping it in the morning before work and continue drinking it until I finish work in the afternoon, it will have a strong flavor.
The amount of herbs does not have to be strictly followed, it can be more or less. Astragalus tonifies Qi, Polygonatum nourishes blood, and these two herbs work together to nourish both Qi and blood. Additionally, as Astragalus is warm in nature and can cause heat, while American Ginseng is cooler, they balance each other out. Goji Berries nourish the liver and kidneys, as the liver stores blood and the kidneys store Qi, deficiency in Qi and blood is often related to these two organs, so they need nourishment. The four herbs, in small and specific amounts, take care of both Qi and blood. Adjust according to your own situation.
