Steps to Make Rabbit-Shaped Bread
For the dough, except for the butter (softened at room temperature), place all ingredients in the bread machine, knead for 20 minutes, then add the butter and knead for another 15 minutes until the dough is fully expanded.
Let the dough ferment until it doubles in size, then place it in the oven to ferment for about 55-60 minutes.
Divide the dough into 5 equal parts, deflate and knead into small round dough balls, then let them rest for 15 minutes.
Take one rested dough ball and roll it into an oval shape with a rolling pin.
Roll it into a cylindrical shape, pinch the ends tightly to seal.
Take a rolled dough and shape it into a roughly 40cm long strip, bend it into a U shape, and place a hot dog on the dough.
Thread the dough from both sides through the small hole on the other side of the hot dog, then shape it into a rabbit shape.
Repeat the process for all, place them on a baking sheet, and let them ferment in a warm place for 45 minutes.
After fermentation, brush the surface of the dough with egg liquid.
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees for 5 minutes, then adjust to 175 degrees on top heat and 160 degrees on bottom heat, bake for 17 minutes.
Once the bread is baked, let it cool and then use melted chocolate sauce to draw the rabbit’s eyes.
