Steps for Cooking Radish and Pork Bone Nourishing Soup
When buying the pork bone, ask the seller to chop it into pieces. Cut 2 slices of ginger and boil them with the pork bone for about 5 minutes to remove the blood and fishy smell. As my rice cooker is relatively small (3L), I only bought one pork bone, which is also called dragon bone in some places. If your rice cooker or soup pot has a larger capacity and you have more people at home, you can use two to three pork bones to make the soup.
When the meat changes color and there is no blood water overflowing, remove the bone and rinse it with clean water before putting it into the rice cooker.
Cut the white radish into pieces and put it into the rice cooker. Cut the remaining ginger into pieces and add it in. The white radish is the long and thin type. Add water, red dates, and pour in some cooking wine, about the size of a ladle, and half a spoonful of vinegar to dissolve the calcium in the pork bone and make the soup more nutritious.
Press the soup cooking button on the rice cooker and do whatever you want while waiting for the rice cooker to finish cooking.
After the soup is cooked, take a bowl of soup and season it with salt and goji berries. You can also add a little bit of fine white sugar to make the salty and fresh taste more prominent. It is not recommended to add chicken essence, which is not very healthy. If you prefer a stronger taste, you can add a moderate amount of soy sauce. If you have personal preferences, you can also add some chopped green onions. Then you can enjoy the delicious soup! (^o^)/
