Detailed steps for making Red Bean Milk Tea
Soak the gelatin in water for about ten minutes.
Soak the red beans for an hour in advance.
Dissolve 3 tablespoons of instant coffee in water.
Mix the coffee with 250ml of milk and heat it over low heat.
Stir until the milk and coffee mixture starts to bubble.
Remove the soaked gelatin and add it to the milk and coffee mixture.
Stir until the gelatin is melted, pour it into a bowl, let it cool to room temperature, and refrigerate for three hours to make coffee jelly.
Now it’s time to cook the tapioca pearls. Boil a pot of water and add the pearls (I chose black sugar pearls).
Boil on high heat again, then simmer on the lowest heat for half an hour, and continue to simmer for another half an hour after turning off the heat.
Remove the cooked pearls and drain them, then let them cool to room temperature.
Put a red tea bag in 200ml of water.
Boil, then simmer for three minutes on low heat and let it sit for five minutes after turning off the heat.
Add another pack of 250ml of milk.
Add a little granulated sugar.
Stir until well mixed, simmer over low heat until it starts to bubble.
Add a little condensed milk, stir well, turn off the heat and set aside.
Add enough water to cover the red beans, put them in a pressure cooker, and cook for 25 minutes after the pressure builds up.
Add a little granulated sugar (this amount is not included in the ingredient list because you can choose to make more red beans and use them in desserts such as milk tea and taro balls).
The coffee jelly, tapioca pearls, and milk tea are all ready.
Prepare a cup, add a little brown sugar to the bottom.
Add the tapioca pearls and stir well.
Add the coffee jelly and red bean pieces.
Pour in the milk tea, and your Red Bean Milk Tea is ready!
