Steps for making Red Date and Rock Sugar Stewed Bird’s Nest
Soak the bird’s nest in purified water for 3 hours;
Tear and remove any impurities. Soak the torn bird’s nest in a large bowl of purified water;
After soaking for an hour, remove the bird’s nest and place it in a stewing pot (I made a large amount and used a covered soup bowl);
Wash the red dates and make four cuts on each one. Add them to the bowl with enough hot water to cover the bird’s nest;
Cover the pot and stew for half an hour;
Add rock sugar according to personal taste and stew for another ten minutes;
Your nutritious and delicious bird’s nest is ready.
After it cools down, put it in a bird’s nest bottle;
You can keep it in the refrigerator for a week. Take out a bottle every day and steam it in a porcelain bowl before eating.
