Detailed Steps for Making Seaweed Chenpi Green Bean Soup
Soak the green beans overnight, soak the chenpi and seaweed for 15 minutes~ Rock sugar is ready~
Bring a pot of water to a boil
Add the green beans
Add the chenpi, bring to a boil, then simmer over medium heat for about half an hour~
While cooking the green beans, shred the seaweed, blanch in water and set aside
After half an hour, add the seaweed and cook for another ten minutes
Add the rock sugar, cook for another five minutes until the rock sugar is completely melted, then turn off the heat. For those who prefer hot soup, it can be served now and it’s delicious~
The remaining soup can be chilled in the refrigerator after it cools down. It’s also delicious when served cold, and helps to cool off~ (ps: This picture was taken when I made it for the first time, there was a bit too much seaweed which slightly affected the taste, but overall it was good~)
