Steps for Shrimp and Rice Cake Steamed Egg Custard
Rice cake, shrimp and eggs
Remove the shrimp shells and devein them. Marinate the shrimp with salt, cooking wine, and pepper for 10 minutes.
Beat the eggs with cooking wine and salt.
Add 1.5 times the amount of water and stir well.
Cut the rice cake into slices and put them in a glass bowl.
Filter the egg mixture.
Steam the mixture.
Cover with a plate.
After steaming for about 8 minutes, the egg mixture has solidified. Place the shrimp on top of the egg custard and steam for another 5 minutes.
Add sesame oil and soy sauce, and sprinkle some cilantro.
Scoop up a spoonful of egg custard, which is smooth and tender, and add the soft rice cake for a richer taste.
