Detailed Steps for Making Sichuan Xiu Yogurt
Start by sterilizing and drying the container, you can also rinse it with boiling water to prevent contamination during the yogurt-making process. Prepare the yogurt bacteria. Let it thaw slightly if it was in the freezer.
Pour in 200ml of fresh milk, add the yogurt bacteria, and stir thoroughly with a clean and dry chopstick.
Then pour in the remaining fresh milk to make it 1 liter or 1.2 liters.
Place the container in the yogurt maker and set the yogurt program. The time depends on the temperature. In winter, you can set a longer time, around 9-10 hours, while in summer, a shorter time of 7-8 hours is sufficient.
The finished yogurt should have a smooth and glossy surface.
