Detailed Steps for Making Simple and Healthy Pudding
I bought the Wondernut strawberry-flavored QQ Jelly, two packs of 20 pieces each.
Boil water in a pot.
Once the water is boiling, add the jelly to the pot and let it melt, you can reduce the heat a little.
It should melt in about two minutes, you can stir it with chopsticks when it’s melted, if needed.
After melting, let it cool for 30-40 seconds, and at the same time, cut open the fresh milk for later use. Don’t let it cool for too long, or it won’t set properly.
Pour the milk in, my milk bottle is 200ml, so for my recipe, it’s two packs of QQ Jelly to one and a half bottles of milk, which is 300ml.
After pouring, mix the QQ Jelly and milk evenly. You can use a spoon to scrape off the sticky jelly at the bottom while mixing. Once mixed well, there will be a slight color change.
After mixing well, pour it into a sealed cup. I made a large batch for kindergarten kids, so I used disposable cups, but you can buy glass sealed cups online.
Close the lid and place it in the refrigerator, preferably in the coldest section, for at least four hours. You can slightly increase the refrigerator’s cooling setting. I usually leave it in the refrigerator overnight for a firmer texture.
After it’s set, you can shake it gently to see if it’s firm. Following this recipe usually results in success, and the pudding won’t be overly sweet, with a perfect texture that kids love.
Once set, you can add some strawberry sauce or fruits on top.
