Detailed Steps for Making Simple White Bread
The bread machine hasn’t been used for a long time, so I took it out and cleaned it. This machine has been with me for nearly ten years, and I’ve only used it less than ten times.
Prepare the ingredients. I kept it simple and used a recipe I found online when I bought it. After all these years, I surprisingly still remember it by heart. Sorry, I can’t provide specific measurements, I go by feel, but luckily it turned out very successful. The bread machine is probably still good.
Start by adding 200ml of milk, then add sugar and salt diagonally, followed by one egg and walnut oil.
Add the flour. I used the most basic flour I had on hand. I didn’t have any fancy flour at home, but based on my experience, I really can’t tell the difference.
Set the time. I chose the shortest time for making a soft bread. Less than three hours.
Start mixing. I initially only added three cups of flour and it was obviously too runny. I then remembered it should be four cups, hehe, it’s not too late to quickly add one more cup!
It’s been a while since I last made bread, so I was afraid of forgetting something, and I kept a close eye on it. Surprisingly, the dough kneaded well, finally I could relax.
It rose well in the hot summer weather and was ready quickly. It looks pretty good, doesn’t it?
A close-up shot with a layer of walnut oil on top. The bread with the walnut aroma attracted my little cat immediately, wanting to see what delicious treat it was.
For breakfast, I fried them in walnut oil. I feel at ease giving them to my child as I believe it’s healthier.
My four-year-old had two homemade sandwiches, which were very good. Seeing my child enjoy the food makes me feel content.
