Step-by-step Guide to Making Candied Kumquats
Ingredients: Kumquats, rock sugar.
Rinse the kumquats with water.
Rub with some flour to remove impurities.
All dust and impurities on the kumquats are removed.
Rinse thoroughly.
Sprinkle 2 spoons of salt and rub to remove the waxy coating on the kumquats.
Rinse with water.
Place the kumquats in a bowl, add water to cover them, then add a spoon of salt and soak for 30 minutes.
In a pot, add rock sugar and water.
Once the rock sugar is completely melted, add the prepared kumquats and cook (stir constantly to prevent sticking to the bottom of the pot).
Cook until most of the liquid in the pot evaporates, then turn off the heat and let the candied kumquats cool on a baking tray.
