Detailed Steps for Making Snow Meiniang
All Ingredients
50g glutinous rice flour + 20g granulated sugar + 15g cornstarch. Mix well, then add 90ml of milk.
Mix well, you can also sift. Then let it sit for 10 minutes. Bring water to a boil in a steamer, then add the batter. Steam over high heat for 10 minutes.
This is how it looks after 10 minutes. Poke with a chopstick, if liquid comes out, it means it’s not cooked, continue steaming. But mine was just right after 10 minutes.
Pour corn oil into the cooked mixture. Mix well.
Knead into a dough using chopsticks.
Cover with plastic wrap. You can wait for the dough to cool slightly before covering. Because I was in a hurry to sleep.
After cooling, wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for half an hour.
Take out after chilling for a moment.
Divide into 5 equal parts. Each dough ball is about 35g.
Take a dough ball, sprinkle cake flour underneath, and cover with plastic wrap on top.
Roll out into a round shape.
Whip the cream until stiff, then transfer to a piping bag.
Pipe a small amount of cream first.
Place your favorite fruit pieces on top. I used crushed Oreo cookies.
Then pipe more cream.
Seal the edges.
Flip it over, shape it nicely.
Done~ Pack it in a box.
Here. Take a look at the finished product~
After finishing, I found one of them turned out to be a peach shape~ so delightful~ it’s truly a beautiful surprise.
