Detailed Steps for Cooking Steak Mushroom Cheeseburger
Finely chop half an onion, sauté with 5g of butter over medium heat until browned, then set aside to cool.
Combine breadcrumbs with milk, allowing the breadcrumbs to fully absorb the milk.
Place ground beef and ground pork in a large bowl, mix in the same direction until slightly sticky.
Add the chopped onion, breadcrumbs, egg, salt, pepper, and nutmeg to the meat mixture, mix well.
Preheat the oven to 220°C. Divide the meat mixture into 6 portions. Take one portion in your hand, press half a slice of cheese into the center of the meat, trying to keep the cheese from showing.
Mold the meat into a round patty by tossing it between your hands, removing air and compacting the burger.
I only made two this time. Wrap the rest in plastic wrap and freeze.
Wipe the surface of the mushrooms with a damp cloth or paper towel to remove impurities, remove the stems, sprinkle with a little cornstarch to help the mushrooms stick to the burger. Place the burger on top.
Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat, place the burger patty in the pan, press it down until it’s about the same diameter as the mushroom (at least 2 cm thick), fry until golden brown on one side, then flip and fry the mushroom for 2 minutes. (I messed up the order today:p)
Place onion rings around the steak mushroom burger (not in the ingredients, add them yourself), then bake in the preheated oven for 18 minutes.
Remove the cooked steak mushroom burger (be careful to prevent burns), optionally top with more cheese (beyond the listed ingredients) and pre-blanched vegetables, then bake in the oven for another 2 minutes or until the cheese melts.
Steak Mushroom Cheeseburger is ready. Serve with steak sauce or ketchup according to personal preference.
Take a cross-section. The cheese inside the burger is melted as well.
