Steps to Make Steamed Sea Bass with Garlic and Fermented Black Beans
Cut the sea bass into pieces and place them in a steaming dish.
Chop the garlic and ginger into small pieces, cut the Thai chili peppers into circles, and mix them with the fermented black beans in a bowl. Add salt and sugar, pour in hot peanut oil, and add steamed fish soy sauce to make the steamed fish sauce.
Add half of the steamed fish sauce to the sea bass and mix well. Spread the other half on top of the fish.
Bring water to a boil in a steamer and place the steaming dish inside. Steam for 10 to 15 minutes depending on the size of the fish.
The fish will cook quickly once it is cut into pieces, so do not oversteam it. Serve directly without adding anything else.
