Detailed Steps for Stir-Fried Canola
Remove the roots of fresh and tender canola, wash them thoroughly, and set aside the red bell pepper.
Cut the canola into sections, and simply cut the canola leaves.
Cut the red bell pepper into strips and then diagonally into pieces. If you don’t have red bell pepper, you can omit it and use garlic for seasoning, which also tastes great.
Heat some oil in a wok, stir-fry the five-spice powder and chopped scallions until fragrant, then add the canola hearts and red bell pepper, stir-fry over high heat.
Add the canola leaves, stir-fry over high heat for a few moments, then season with salt and oyster sauce. If you don’t have oyster sauce, you can omit it and use a bit of light soy sauce and chicken bouillon for seasoning, which is also great.
Transfer to a serving dish.
