Detailed steps for cooking Strawberry Daifuku
Prepare the ingredients.
Take an appropriate amount of red bean paste (I used my own homemade red bean paste, so the color is slightly different from the ones sold outside).
Add granulated sugar to glutinous rice flour and stir well. Slowly pour water into the glutinous rice flour and mix well to form a paste-like mixture.
Steam the glutinous rice paste in a steamer for about 20 minutes until cooked.
Take an appropriate amount of red bean paste and put it in a plastic bag, press it into a flat shape (the size should be able to wrap around the strawberry).
Seal the plastic bag and evenly wrap the red bean paste around the strawberry.
When the glutinous rice paste is warm, take an appropriate amount and put it in a plastic wrap coated with edible oil, press it into a flat shape with a rolling pin.
Wrap the strawberry with the glutinous rice dough and roll it in a layer of coconut shreds.
Plate and serve.
