Detailed Steps for Making Super Easy Milk Tea
Making milk tea is very simple (except for caramelizing sugar). After a couple of tries to adjust to your taste, you can make it very well. It’s nutritious, delicious, and affordable with both milk and tea!!
Caramelizing sugar requires some skill, you must use low heat…oops!! I mean low heat!! Put sugar in a dry and oil-free milk pot, then slowly melt it over low heat until it turns into caramel color. The color should not be too dark, the color in the picture is just right!!
Keep the heat low throughout!!! After caramelizing the sugar, pour in the milk and tea leaves!!! This is how it looks right after pouring, the colors are quite beautiful.
When the tea leaves have softened, use a strainer and a small spoon to scoop up and squeeze the tea leaves, press and drain them dry!! That’s it!! For those who drink it often, I recommend buying a set of strainer and spoon specifically for pressing tea leaves!! No one else will know, who would guess you’re so rough when making milk tea!!
Here’s the final product!!! Personally, I think the tapioca pearls I bought don’t match well with the milk tea, they lack flavor. For those who like milk tea and enjoy making it themselves, you can try making your own tapioca pearls!!!
