Prepare the ingredients.
Soak the coix seed for 1 hour in advance.
Soak the tremella in advance to hydrate.
Put the soaked coix seed and tremella in a pot, add water, bring to a boil, then simmer on low heat for 1 hour.
Peel and wash the sweet potatoes, then cut them into small pieces.
Once the coix seed and tremella are cooked and soft, add the sweet potatoes and cook together for about half an hour until the sweet potatoes are soft and mushy.
