Steps to Make Sweet Potato Fries
Peel and cut sweet potatoes into wedges.
Rinse, remove excess starch, and pat dry with kitchen paper.
Heat a frying pan with a generous amount of oil.
Add sweet potato wedges and fry.
Fry until sweet potatoes turn slightly golden and edges become crispy.
Remove and drain excess oil.
In another pan, combine equal parts sugar and water.
Simmer over low heat until it forms large bubbles and the sugar water starts to thicken and turn slightly golden.
Quickly add the sweet potatoes and toss to coat with the sugar syrup.
