Detailed Steps for Cooking Taro Cake
Prepare the necessary ingredients, dice the taro and Chinese sausage
Heat oil and stir-fry the dried shrimp and Chinese sausage until fragrant
Add the taro and continue stir-frying
Add oyster sauce and salt, then add some water and continue stir-frying
Mix the glutinous rice flour with water and the stir-fried taro, Chinese sausage, and dried shrimp mixture. Add pepper, then steam for about 20 minutes
Once the taro cake is steamed and cooled, it will be easier to cut. It can be pan-fried for a delicious flavor or enjoyed as is. I usually refrigerate it overnight before cutting, as it helps to set and makes for neat and attractive slices.
