【Teriyaki Meatballs】Cooking Steps
Simple ingredients.
Lay the onion flat and make multiple vertical cuts without cutting through the end.
Make additional horizontal cuts.
Make vertical cuts to get finely chopped onion.
Melt butter, sauté the chopped onion until fragrant.
In a large bowl, mix ground meat, egg yolk, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, salt, and black pepper. Add some fresh milk and mix well.
Let the mixture sit for half an hour.
Shape the mixture into small balls and set aside.
Heat oil to 60-70% hot and fry the meatballs until cooked.
Drain excess oil and set aside.
Teriyaki sauce: Mix 1/2 tbsp soy sauce, 1/2 tbsp oyster sauce, 1 tbsp sugar, 1/2 tbsp sesame oil, and 1/2 cup water. (If using pre-made teriyaki sauce, skip this step and use 100ml of pre-made teriyaki sauce.)
Heat a pan, pour in the teriyaki sauce, add some black pepper, and bring to a boil.
Mix some cornstarch with water, pour into the teriyaki sauce to thicken.
Add the meatballs, stir quickly, and remove from heat.
