Steps for cooking Tofu in Fermented Bean Curd
Buy a packet of fermented bean curd bacteria.
Pour it into a small bowl and dissolve it in water.
Buy some old tofu from the market, cut it into pieces and drain the water. Roll each piece of tofu in the bowl of fermented bean curd bacteria and put them in a sieve.
Cover the sieve with a lid and place it in a shaded and ventilated area. After a few days, white mold will grow on the tofu.
Add salt to the chili powder.
Grind the dried orange peel and add it to the chili powder.
After rolling the tofu in high-alcohol white wine, coat it evenly with the chili powder mixture.
Put each piece of tofu into a clean, water-free bottle. For better flavor, add some cooking oil to the bottle to soak the tofu in!
After about one or two months, the tofu in fermented bean curd is ready to be eaten. The longer it is fermented, the better the taste!
