Tom Yum Soup Detailed Cooking Steps
Prepare a pot of vegetable broth in advance, add half an onion and a carrot to 800g of water and boil.
Prepare the vegetables and spices. Cut the straw mushrooms, tomato, and onion into pieces. Cut the southern ginger into slices. Flatten the lemongrass and cut into 3cm pieces. Tear off the stems of the lemon leaves.
Remove the ingredients from the vegetable broth and add Tom Yum paste, fish sauce, southern ginger, lemongrass, lemon leaves, and small chilies. Boil for 5 minutes.
Add straw mushrooms, tomato, and onion. Continue to boil for 3 minutes.
Squeeze lemon juice before serving and garnish with coriander.
