Detailed Steps for Cooking Tuna Pasta in Tomato Sauce
Prepare all the ingredients.
Blanch the tomatoes in boiling water, peel them, and cut them into large pieces. Put them in a blender and pulse for a few seconds, leaving some tomato chunks. I like the slightly chunky texture with tomato pieces in it.
Heat a pan, add the butter, and let it melt.
Sauté the onion until translucent, then add the tomato pieces and stir-fry for half a minute.
Pour in half a bowl of water and bring it to a boil.
Add two meatballs, some tomato ketchup and tomato sauce, adjust to your preferred taste. I like a slightly tangy tomato flavor, so I added extra tomato ketchup.
Add mushrooms and cook for a few minutes until the meatballs and mushrooms are cooked.
Before removing from heat, add chunks of tuna, stir briefly, and then it’s ready to serve. Tuna easily falls apart, so be careful not to cook it for too long, or it will turn into tuna soup.
Once the pasta is cooked, drain it, drizzle with a little olive oil, mix well, pour the sauce over it, sprinkle with basil and mixed herbs, mix well and enjoy.
