Wagashi Mizunotsuki Cooking Steps
Prepare all the necessary ingredients.
Sift the flour and cornstarch mixture.
Add caster sugar to the sifted mixture, then slowly add water while stirring until smooth without lumps.
Sift the mixed batter to ensure no lumps, resulting in a smoother finished product.
Pour the sifted batter into a heat-resistant container (do not pour all the batter, leave 20-30ml), cover with plastic wrap, and steam on high heat for 3 minutes.
Semi-finished product
Sprinkle evenly with sweet red bean paste, then pour in the remaining batter, cover with plastic wrap, and steam on high heat for another 3 minutes.
Let it cool after baking, then cut into pieces to enjoy~ Tastes even better when chilled.
