Steps for Cooking Yang’s Donkey-hide Gelatin Paste
Prepare a bottle of yellow wine, chop the walnut kernels, use cooked black sesame seeds, use ready-to-eat goji berries, chop the meat of the red dates, and prepare rock sugar.
Grind the Dong’e donkey-hide gelatin into powder and pour it into a sand pot. It is said that the nutrition will be lost if an iron pot is used, so I used a sand pot.
Pour the yellow wine into the sand pot, simmer over low heat, stir evenly, and then add an appropriate amount of rock sugar. If you like it sweet, you can add more rock sugar according to your taste.
After simmering for more than half an hour, it becomes thick and sticky. You need to keep stirring to prevent it from sticking to the pot. Then pour all the auxiliary ingredients into the sand pot and stir together.
After about an hour, pour the thick paste into a glass container and refrigerate it.
Take out the refrigerated donkey-hide gelatin paste and invert it.
After cutting it into pieces and serving it on a plate, eat one piece a day. Do not eat too much, as overconsumption may cause excessive nourishment and lead to internal heat. It tastes sweet and delicious, especially for women who want to nourish their skin and blood with donkey-hide gelatin.
