Steps for making Zhù bào píng’ān – Sha Cha Beef Rolls
Prepare the necessary ingredients.
Cut the beef into thick slices.
Use the back of a knife to pound the beef into large pieces, which will make the beef more tender and smooth.
Put the beef slices in a bowl and pour in 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil.
Add Sha Cha sauce, black pepper powder, soy sauce, and Italian herbs to the bowl and mix well.
Marinate for half an hour after mixing well.
Shred the carrot and king oyster mushroom.
Mix oyster sauce, honey, and the remaining vegetable oil in a bowl to make the sauce and set aside.
Place a slice of beef on a cutting board and roll up with shredded carrot and king oyster mushroom inside.
Arrange the rolled beef on a baking sheet.
Brush the prepared sauce on the beef rolls.
Preheat the oven to 200°C, cover the baking sheet with foil and bake for 10 minutes in the middle layer of the oven.
After 10 minutes, remove the beef rolls from the baking sheet and place them on a baking rack.
Brush a layer of sauce on the beef rolls again.
Pour a cup of water into the baking sheet, place the baking rack in the middle layer and bake for 8 minutes.
After 8 minutes, remove the beef rolls from the oven, brush with sauce, and sprinkle with black pepper and white sesame seeds.
Put the beef rolls on a plate after baking.
